Chive and parsley paired together to develop the perfect flavors for egg dishes, fish, potatoes and root vegetables. Add to any dish that needs a little shine! A springtime favorite is tomatoes, zucchini and red onion, sliced and placed in a bowl. Use Chive and Parsley Pesto to make a vinaigrette. It’s easy! Add additional olive oil, vinegar and pesto. Salt and pepper to taste and mix well. Pour over veggies and chill. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
Cheesy Pesto Pull-Apart Bread
This 5 ingredient pesto appetizer bread will please game day fans or any hungry crowd.
Ingredients
- 1 baguette
- ½ cup butter, melted (one stick)
- ¼ cup Country Gourmet Chive and Parsley Pesto
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 ½ cups Italian five cheese blend, shredded
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Using a serrated knife, make 1 inch diagonal cuts across the baguette while leaving the bottom intact. Repeat by cutting it again in the opposite direction.
- Pour the melted butter in between the cuts of the bread and distribute evenly.
- Using a spoon or butter knife, spread the pesto along the cuts.
- Transfer to aluminum foil and generously stuff the cheese in between the cuts.
- Wrap up completely in aluminum foil and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Open up the foil to expose the bread and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Serve warm and ENJOY.
