Dakota Bread

Unique and delicious Dakota bread from Great Harvest Bakery Co. located in De Pere, Wisconsin. This bread is made with honey whole wheat dough with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and millet generously kneaded in for a delightful bread that's perfect for sandwiches.

The very first Great Harvest bakery was founded in 1976 by Pete and Laura Wakeman in Montana. Today, there are over 200 Great Harvest bakery and café franchises around the country. The one in De Pere, Wisconsin is different from its counterparts, however. They operate under a "Freedom Franchise". The "Freedom" part means that they get to run their business in a way that meets their community's needs. The "Franchise" part means they get access to the recipes and processes that the Great Harvest company has built and improved on for three decades.
