Lacinato Kale - Organic

Lacinato Kale from Olden Organics Farm in Ripon, Wisconsin. Often called Black, Tuscan, or Dino kale, this Lacinato variety has smaller, more delicate leaves than curly green kale and is indeed a dark grey bluish-green color. This type of kale tastes lemony and slightly piney when served raw in a salad; when cooked, it takes on a nutty, broccoli-like flavor. Although it cooks considerably faster than curly kale and has a much milder flavor when used to soups or stews, this kale is nevertheless very nutrient-rich.
